From certain site tracking services, I have been looking at the way people come to know about my blog and I realized that only few of them access my blog directly (using its main URL). Most of them come looking for some hack (like social bookmarking, Google Translate etc) and land on an individual post page. When they land on such a page, a lot of space under the article + comments section goes waste as my blog’s sidebars (in most cases) are longer than the length of the post + comments section. This is also the case on label, archive and search pages. I was wondering how to make efficient utilization of this wasted space so that such first time readers (of my blog) get enough information about my other posts and I am able to convert them to returning readers/visitors.
I turned to instabloke for ideas and found that Blogbloke has made very good use of this space by posting a list of other articles, newsfeeds of his blog and adsense code. Inspired by his ingenuity, I decided to implement the same for blogger beta. To understand what I am talking about have a look at these pictures:

works on the main label pages
This hack works great for the adsense widget but can it be used for labels showing only on post pages and not the main page?
The labels widget already has conditionals like (/b:if) and trying to add the code and conditional you gave in the adsense example just gives error codes. I've read the comments but I'm not sure if one of those applies to the labels widget.
So far it works on the main label pages. Now I got a widget only showing on one Label, but when I look at older posts from this label the widget disappears. There should be a little modification so that the widget gets displayed even if there has been another ending attached to the URL, for example:
completely. However, from what I could get, I think all the widget code (as seen via template > page elements > "Edit") is gone but the heading still appears on your blog. A straight solution to this will be to delete the widget which has this heading from your layout section using the "Remove page element button".
Otherwise, edit your template HTML (non expanded) and locate the widget with this heading using the text from heading in the search (ctrl+F) and the delete the widget code.

first example
This first example is a flexible width top level list that expands to fit the text.
It has a fixed height and uses a background image that stretches the full width of the outer div, in this case 750px, and a background div in each top level link to mark the right hand edge of the link.
The top level hover varies the text color and the bottom border color.
The sub level hover varies the background color and adds a background square bullet against the top line of each list item. Sub level drop down lists can be positioned anywhere (left/right) beneath the top level list.
The sub levels are a fixed size, but can easily be changed to suit your requirements, and have a single pixel border.
Sub level flyouts are indicated by a sub level link with a grey background and a square bullet. These flyouts can be made to appear to the right or the left of the sub level list.

PENDEKATAN SEL SEDIMEN (Sediment Cell)
Wilayah pesisir adalah daerah pertemuan antara darat dan laut, dengan batas kearah darat meliputi bagian daratan, baik kering maupun terendam air yang masih
mendapat pengaruh sifat-sifat laut seperti angin laut, pasang surut, perembesan air laut
(intrusi) yang dicirikan oleh vegetasinya yang khas, sedangkan batas wilayah pesisir ke
arah laut mencakup bagian atau batas terluar daripada daerah paparan benua (continental
shelf), dimana ciri-ciri perairan ini masih dipengaruhi oleh proses alami yang terjadi di
darat seperti sedimentasi dan aliran air tawar, maupun proses yang disebabkan oleh
kegiatan manusia di darat seperti penggundulan hutan dan pencemaran (Bengen, 2002).
Berdasarkan batasan tersebut di atas, beberapa ekosistem wilayah pesisir yang
khas seperti estuaria, delta, laguna, terumbu karang (coral reef), padang lamun
(seagrass), hutan mangrove, hutan rawa, dan bukit pasir (sand dune) tercakup dalam
wilayah ini. Luas suatu wilayah pesisir sangat tergantung pada struktur geologi yang
dicirikan oleh topografi dari wilayah yang membentuk tipe-tipe wilayah pesisir tersebut.
Wilayah pesisir yang berhubungan dengan tepi benua yang meluas (trailing edge)

Batas 100 post
After a lot of trial and error, and without having any success to develop a decent piece of programming to call JSON-feeds recursively, I suddenly had a flash of insight in how we can cross the 100 posts limit of the Table of Contents Widget. It's all because of Annie, one of those friends in the Blogosphere that makes me (and others) think. She has 101 blog posts, and is in dire need of a Table of Contents that can list all 101 of them. Well, check out my sidebar, the link will show Annie's table of contents, with all 101 of them!
The new BlogToc Widget release is updated in several ways:
- it now supports > 100 posts
- the link is more user-friendly
- a note is added displaying number of posts and filter applied
If you have more than 100 posts, you have to duplicate the JSON-script-call that is in your sidebar several times, each time with a different start-index. If you have more than 100 posts, you need 2 calls like this:

Kiamat dan kehancuran dunia (2) depresi Amerika
Buktinya sudah nyata sekarang, baru aja dinyatakan bahwa Amerika sudah memasuki resesi. Memang Amerika dulu pernah memasuki resesi lalu bangkit lagi… Tetapi kini berbeda
1. perekonomian Amerika kali ini bermasalah dalam berbagai sektor tidak hanya sektor kredit perumahan saja seperti sebelumnya.
2. Perbedaan lain yang mengemuka adalah kenyataan bahwa Amerika mempunyai Utang luar negeri sebesar $ 9 trilliun dollar… Aje gile… Itu artinya 81.000 trilliun rupiah… artinya 81 zillion rupiah…
3. Amerika terbawa peperangan di Irak dan Afganistan yang tak kunjung selesai yang cukup menghancurkan ekonomi Amerika
4. Cadangan minyak AS sudah sangat berkurang
5. Dollar Amerika sudah mulai tidak dipergunakan lagi oleh Berbagai negara… Asal tau aja uang itu sebenarnya surat hutang. Jika kita punya Rp 50.000 artinya negara berhutang sama kita sebesar Rp 50.000. Dengan utang itu negara bisa membangun… Nah kalo ga ada yang mau ngutangin Amerika, bagaimana menurutmu Perekonomiannya ???
6. Suku bunga Fed Rate sangat kecil kalo ga salah 2 %. Artinya penghasilan negara di sektor bunga juga sangat kecil…
Jadi apa yang harus dilakukan oleh Amerika menghadapai kenyataan ini ???
Dia harus perang, dan menang… Lalu mengambil minyak mentah negara lain itu untuk mengembalikan perekonomiannya… Ia haus akan rampasan perang berupa minyak…
Dan dia harus bergerak cepat sebelum minyaknya habis, atau harga minyak meroket… Kenapa ? Karena biaya perang akan semakin besar, dan mungkin bisa jadi tidak ada minyak untuk menjalankan mesin perangnya lagi…
Dia harus bergerak cepat karena musuhnya seperti CINA DAN RUSIA sebentar lagi akan menyusul kekuatan ekonominya, dia harus bergerak sebelum semua kesempatan pudar, dan ia dihancurkan….
Asal tau aja… Pada tahun 1930 terjadi depresi ekonomi dunia, hal ini menyebabkan Perang dunia 2 yang terjadi pada tahun 1942. Kenyataan ini semakin nyata….

Information
A second go at my previous gallery, this time with a click to open action rather than a hover. Also the facility to add some descriptive text to accompany the large image. This one uses no conditonal comments, no Microsoft behaviors and no javascript yet it validates using the w3.org validator. As with the previous gallery this one allows you to have a default image, and this one has been adapted to have both landscape and portrait images.
This has been tested in IE6, IE7, Firefox and Opera (9.5 beta). Opera 9.5 beta has changed the way this browser interprets the mouse click and no longer needs the mouse button to be held down when clicking a link. It also corrects several other rendering bugs and many of my 'slide/scroll' galleries now work with this browser.
IE6 has one small bug in that if you click on a thumbnail it remains :active and if you go back into that image set you will have to hover over this image again before you can see all other images in that set.
